Where are the fiddlers 91

please feel free to repost this offer wherever appropriate) Good Morning everyone, If you have not heard...

hi Mitch first of all to master any instrument including banjo and mandolin takes mbuttive effort. They are far from "easy" to become accomplished on. I play several instruments including Fiddle, and I know from experience what Im speaking about. Fiddle players, like banjo and mandolin players are rare everywhere. However I know here in Chicago there is a rising number. I attend many local jams and always see at least 5 or 6 fiddlers at everyone. Probably as many as I see banjo and mando players. Accomplished ones are rarer but so are accomplished banjo and mando players. I usually attend some of the bigger jams too, like the University of Chicago Folk Festival. At those jams you will see rooms filled with fiddle players, grant you more are doing irish than bluegrbutt, but they are there in groups of 30 to 50 per room. The Chicago Old Time School of Folk Music is teaching alot of new people folk and bluegrbutt music on many differant instruments. Im a good aquaintance with last years state fiddling champion, and he teaches and brings young fiddlers out to the local jam I attend weekly every now and then to showcase their talents. So they are there, but like the music itself, bluegrbutt and old time, is a niche' thing. In record sales, bluegrbutt sells below C&W and is only slightly ahead of Christian rock albums generally. Check Billboards charts if you think Im wrong. Much as I hate to admit it, that crappy wrap music ( which is an oxymoron to me) outsells both C&W and bluegrbutt. In fact almost everything outsells C&W and bluegrbutt. lol Good thing art isnt a democratic process. I couldnt handle it.

good pickin to you Michael Over 120,000 Served. 50 Banjo players. Free mp3s.

And time? zillions doesn't but and to art what banjoist, violin. lonesome this know because it
