What a great week of music

What a week it turned out to be. I spent most of it wearing my poor wee fingers out learning tunes to play. On Saturday I got to play two gigs with one of my and many other people's all time favorite players, Paddy Keenan. Paddy was a member of The Bothy Band and over the years has played with many interntaional stars including Tim O'Brien. It was a real honor to spend the day with him let alone play with him. I also got to spend some time with some old friends like John Doyle and Liz Carroll. I will have some pictures on JigTime next week. I cant really review my own gig but it was great fun and Paddy was amazing. On my wee site this week I have a review of the Just Bluegrbutt Band CD - Time. by Joe Ross. I also reviewed the new album by Maura O'Connell which features Viktor Krauss, Jerry Douglas and Bryan Sutton, with song by everyone from Mindy Smith to Jim Lauderdale. Oh and I also have a way to thank all my Patrons with some very nice gifts like T-Shirts, CDs and Magazines. And of course if you havent sen them yet the Merlfest 2004 pictures are still up. I hope you are all well and happy.
