WHOA! Now! Please go back and check the DATES of the posts! My humorous post was sent at precisely 10:33 A.M. on 1 January 2006! It was in NO WAY shape nor form related to the mine explosion tragedy that occurred DAYS LATER on 2-4 January 2006 or was reported at that time.

I am NOT a sick individual. I absolutely did NOT post anything regarding the heart-wrenching mine tragedy! I do believe if you will go back and check the posts you will see that my post was DAYS BEFORE the mine tragedy and was NEVER in connection with it.

That post was from an good friend from West Virginia and I sent it merely as a good-natured fun thing for discussion in what was previously thought to be a group of bluegrbutt loving folks where little action was occurring.

No, I am not from West Virginia but my Grandpa was. I grew up across the border in a state that like West Virginia was once a part of the state of Virginia.

Shanmless promotion: I've partnered with Jeff Wall (who many of you may know from Merlefest and the Americana Music Festival) to bring back the webzine Twangzine. We plan to expand in the...

It is an error on your part to go back AFTER the West Virginia mine tragedy, pull up my post from DAYS BEFORE and make it appear as though it were me that has a sick mind! WRONG! If there is a sick mind involved, it certainly is not me. Considering there are only two of us in THIS discussion, I shall leave you to the conclusion as to who has the "sick mind" here. You can bet your bottom dollar that I do NOT take kindly such an asinine, seeming deliberate, destructive and FALSE POST as yours!

If it will help you understand THE FACTS, see this News about the mine disaster and please notice the date! Go back and check the DATE OF MY POST! I think that should make things very clear! If not, then too bad! But I can butture you that I damn sure will not sit by and allow unchallenged the SICK POST YOU MADE FALSELY ACCUSING ME!

Review: The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band Bluegrbutt at it's finest
The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band made an impressive appearance at the Everett's Music Barn in Suwanee, Ga this Saturday night. This 2003 IBMA Emerging Artist...

A timeline of key events in the Sago Mine explosion.

Jan. 2:

a.. An early morning explosion traps 13 miners underground, but rescuers cannot enter for nearly 12 hours because dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are being vented.

a.. Rescue crews finally enter the mine on foot for fear of sparking another explosion.

a.. The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration sends in a rescue robot, but it's abandoned after getting stuck in the mud.

Jan. 3:

a.. Rescuers keep pushing deeper into the mine shaft.

a.. A mine executive is "very discouraged" by air quality tests, which show carbon monoxide levels measured 1,300 parts per million, exceeding the maximum safe level of 400 parts per million.

Side bar: If you are from West Virginia and had NOT read my post, or received it later AFTER the tragedy, then I can understand your reaction and need to vent your anger and-or frustration. In that case, I shall view your post as a rush to judgment and an erroneous conclusion in the context of a hurt individual. If that is not the case, then I can do nothing to buttuage your guilt.

Helen- -- It has always been the policy of the advocates of error, when unable to sustain themselves by sophistry, specious reasoning and false logic, to stigmatize the advocates of truth.
