I don't think it's xenophobia to be alarmed at the immigration flood that's swept in under the Bush League. More Latinos would be OK by me, provided it entailed fewer Gringos. But it doesn't, and we keep hearing "immigrants take jobs that Americans think are beneath them." Nationwide job-loss aside, let's hope so! Here in the Bluegrbutt, lots of MŽxicanos work on the horse farms. Typically that means no holidays, no insurance, no benefits, sub-minimum wage. In some parts of the US we hear of what amounts to slavery. Wasn't that made unconsbreastutional after the Civil War? Perhaps it applies only to home-grown full citizens. Perhaps they will maintain their freedom to sleep on the sidewalks and raid dumpsters (where not prohibited by local ordinance).

It's said that in America "you can vote yourself rich." If that's still possible, then some more folks sure oughta vote this time, and and vote different than last time. And keep an eye on those electronic ballot networks.
