---------------------------------------------------- Barnes & Noble, the megabookstore in Salisbury that caters to those who like Starbucks with their John Bryan Starr or William F. Buckley, is also partial to musicians -- and their listeners. It started when innovative multi-instrumentalist and author Patrick Costello ("A Book of Five Strings") and his "Dear Old Dad," music partner Pat Costello, who both live in Crisfield, held a booksigning at the store that erupted in more picking than inking. The banjo-, fiddle-, guitar-, mandolin- and anything else with strings-playing duo spawned two ongoing events at the store. Now, musicians have an open invitation to show up with their instruments for a jam session the first Saturday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m. "Anyone can come and sit in," said Hannah Miller, Barnes & Noble's community relations manager.
