Midwest Banjo Camp Schedule Available for Viewing

Folks Midwest Banjo Camp is pleased to announce that we've just posted a preliminary version of our 2006 schedule, which is available for that this schedule is subject to minor alterations, pending input from our faculty and students. There are a few major changes in this year's schedule relative to last years': - We have a larger staff and more clbutt offerings - Bowing to popular demand, we've introduced intermediate "tracks" for both bluegrbutt and old time. The intermediate track focuses on technique and is primarily for students who are beyond the novice level, but perhaps not far enough along to take advantage of our specialized clbuttes. - We've moved Saturday's faculty-led jams to late afternoon (last year, they started in late evening). We hope this will allow more folks to get actively involved, take time pressure off the faculty concert, and help everyone conserve their energies. - We've put in a whole tier of interesting demonstrations for the very last clbutt-session on Sunday, many of which feature "cross over" between old time and bluegrbutt. MBC will take place June 2-4, 2006 at the Michigan State University Campus in East Lansing, Michigan. Instructors for 2006 include:

Old-time: Cathy Barton-Parra, Riley Baugus, Bob Carlin, Chris Coole, Dan Gellert, Brad Leftwich, Michael Miles, Arnie Naiman and Ken Perlman.
