Haven't seen much about this, and I already got a copy from a local bookstore-- this sounds like an essential purchase for any Johnny fan. "The Man Called Cash: The Life, Love and Faith of an American Legend" is endorsed by his kids and the rest of his family, and it's being published in time for the first-year anniversary of his rest. Of course, Johnny did two autobiographies, but this is revealing in that many family, friends and buttociates were interviewed. It says in the intro that Johnny was supposed to co-write a spiritual autobiography with author Steve Turner, but prior to his rest, he guaranteed Turner unprecedented access to family and colleagues, as well as family journals and letters, for a comprehensive look at his life and career. There's a whole chapter of his tenure in the Air Force while in Germany, and there are a loads of other new things -- it confirms an old rumor that he was ordained as a minister, and goes into unprecedented in-depth about his and June's last days, including his last-ever recording sessions. It also goes into detail about his drug addictions, the making of the Folsom Prison and San Quentin concerts, his rivalry with Elvis Presley, etc. etc. etc. Here's the Amazon link: Girl Scout Leader Eats All The Cookies 181Typical evasive response from a left-wing african american apologist.
