ROTFLMAO!
HBOL, ya see that is happening because you haven't had the "operation" :)
Of course should you choose not to "give em up", you might try moving the song to the Key of "F" or maybe even down to "E". No shame there, even Bill Monroe moved a lot of songs to F to get it to the range of his voice.
When we are working on a new song, we will move it up and down the scale till we find the spot where the harmony is best for that song. Also, give heed to your musicians. Just because you can reach a song in "B", the harmony may sound just as good in "A" and it may play better there on the mandolin and fiddle. There are mucho licks and tones to choose from in an open chord like "A", while a chocked cord like "B" will limit somewhat your music. An exception might be "E" chord. We will try to stay in "E" if we can rather than move a song down to "D" (which is an open chord) because of the tonal quality of the "E" chord on acoustic instruments. Point is, do it where it sounds and plays best.

Harmony Singing 3Yeah, I know - the key of F is the way to go but it completely changes the nature of the song. So does E, we tried everything. This original posting was sometimes back in history...
