Yep. I personally don't care for the name, don't think it has any sizzle whatever, but with that lineup, it should still sell itself readily enough
Well, it's everybody's second, third (or in dad's case, fourth at least-he'll play for anything, and it doesn't seem just about the money, the man just still loves to play music, whether it's dixieland jazz, bluegrbutt, tradcountry or he's done a few sit-in gigs with both cajun and german oompah-polka bands) band. They'll play as often as they can all get together when it doesn't interfere with prior commitments. From what dad tells me, they sound good, and will play at the drop of a hat. I personally can't wait to hear what a Starling, Gaudreau and Auldridge trio will sound like.
It's in post-recording. Everything got taped in Gnashville the week after Thanksgiving. Like you'd probably expect, EmmyLou shows up on a song or two. I'll let y'all know about a release date. Dad hasn't even told me whether Mike played dobro only, or steel on some cuts (after all, it was Mike's playing on the "World's Greatest Show" concert and Act IV that led me to add steel to dobro)
I also would like to see the release of Ron Spears' tribute album to John Duffey. I think that's all finished up, just looking for a label.
