Many of you know Gerry from his tours with Andy M. Stewart and with our dear friend EJ Jones as part of the Willow Band. Gerry has made a name for himself as a solo performer, as well as playing in some of celtic music's finest bands, including "Patrick Street", "The Sharon Shannon Band, and "The Waterboys".

"Gerry O'Beirne has written some of the best new tunes to come out of Ireland's Celtic music scene. O'Beirne's guitar playing is always a thing of wonder and his lyrics have become increasingly poetic and emotionally deep." - Dirty Linen

"He should be compulsory listening for any aspiring ambitious guitarist. It's not just his technical dexterity and brilliance that catches the imagination, it's the inventive use of arrangements, lyrics and melody." - The Word

People often ask me "What's the deal with this celtic music stuff?" Gerry O'Beirne is the answer, his guitar playing is incredible, and he bridges the gap between "celtic" and "folk", if you have wondered about celtic music but been a little afraid to come to a show, this is a really good place to start.

*This show was originally scheduled as "Andy M. Stewart and Gerry O'Beirne", Andy is having some health problems and was unable to travel, but Gerry has agreed that the show must go on. This will be his first solo appearance at MacHenry's. Tickets $12.00

We also have a brand new batch of shows booked and up on our box office at: www.machenrys.com Just follow the box office link.
