Bought My First Ever B.G. CD Alison Krauss and U.S

Hello folks. First post here! Just wanted to drop a note and say I bought my first ever bluegrbutt cd (actually bought two of them) - Alison Krauss and Union Station Lonely Runs Both Ways and New Favorite.

I want to say that I'm not a real big country fan or even bluegrbutt fan. My first real appreciation of bluegrbutt was in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? Also, I got XM Radio a few months ago. They have a bluegrbutt channel that I kept turning on. Some of those songs are very catchy. Plus, it's a lot better than modern pop-hip hop targeted for teens.

Album Review Blue Merle Burning in the Sun
Album Review - Blue Merle - Burning in the Sun Over the course of the past half century, the record industry has transformed itself into a mbuttive, money-making enterprise, and in the process, the...

One group I noticed playing a lot on the bluegrbutt channel was Krauss and Union Station. I read somewhere that their music was featured on that "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" film. The music in that film was mesmerizing. So I guess I was hopping for some of that with these two CD's.

Also, my computer is my cd player. I used to buy cd's, load them on my computer, and play them that way. Well, my computer has been acting up and I haven't been able to download music cd's to my hard drive for about six or seven months. I got it all fixed a few days ago but lost all my songs. I decided to go out and start rebuilding my collection. First cd I bought was a best of John Lennon. But I knew the next two cd's had to be Alison Krauss and Union Station. I was going to get their live cd but it was sold out.

Anyway, I'll need a few days of listening to both of these cd's before I give my full opinion. But I'm looking forward to listening and enjoying this popular group. Also looking forward to reading all your bluegrbutt discussions.
