Dear Friends, A concert is being scheduled to benefit the relief efforts for the survivors of last Sunday's earthquake-tsunami, which has devastated so many in Asia. The date is set for Thursday, January 6th, and the venue will be the shared facility of River Valley Community Church and CrossRoads Christian Fellowship, located at 5131 Office Park Drive, near the Auto Club, off Truxtun Extension. Doors will open at 6:30, with music at 7:00 p.m. There will be no advance ticket sales, but we will suggest a donation of $10.00 (or more, if you like) at the door. All proceeds will be directed to the International Red Cross-Red Crescent Society. The concert will open with Bakersfield's hardest-working Celtic ensemble, Banshee in the Kitchen. Headlining will be Kern County's own bluegrbutt sensation, The Brothers Barton, who will be debuting their latest CD release.
